We want to alert you to a current scam targeting FNB Louisiana customers who participated in the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
Scammers are using publicly available PPP information to pose as FNB Louisiana employees. They may call from local phone numbers and claim there is an issue with your account, a payment, or suspected fraud. Their goal is to create urgency and convince you to share your online banking credentials and a one-time security code.
Please remember:
- FNB Louisiana will never ask for your online banking credentials or one-time codes over the phone.
- Do not share passwords, PINs, or security codes with unexpected callers, even if they claim to be from the bank.
- If you feel pressured to act quickly, it is likely a scam.
If you receive such a call: Hang up and contact us directly using a trusted phone number.
If you believe you’ve been targeted or shared information:
- Change your online banking password immediately
- Contact FNB Louisiana right away
- Visit www.IdentityTheft.gov for next steps
- Report the incident to the FTC at 1-877-FTC-HELP
Staying alert is the best way to protect your information. Please contact us if you have any questions.
